About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Healthcare Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality support to our physiotherapy service. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with qualified therapists to deliver exceptional patient care.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day activities of the physiotherapy department, including supporting patients with their exercises and rehabilitation plans. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care, while maintaining accurate records and contributing to a positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified therapists with patient assessments, treatment sessions, and rehabilitation programs.
  • Support patients with their exercises, transfers, and mobility needs, promoting independence and empowerment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes, ensuring effective communication and handovers.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful working environment, promoting a culture of inclusivity and teamwork.

Requirements

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths or English.
  • Experience of working in a health and social care setting.
  • Basic knowledge of Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and situations.
  • Good communication skills, with the ability to adapt to barriers to communication.
