About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team in the Outer South East London area. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employee Management: Oversee all aspects of employee management, development, and performance, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrate a strong operational mindset, making informed decisions to drive business growth and minimize costs.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining consistent high standards and ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
  • Leadership: Develop and implement strategies to motivate and engage employees, driving high performance and achieving business objectives.
  • Cost Control: Minimize costs and optimize productivity, ensuring efficient use of resources and maximizing sales.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with the Area Manager to ensure best practice in sales development, stock control, and financial management.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Salary: £35,625 rising to £43,440* after 4 years, with an additional London allowance of £1,935.
  • Flexible Contracts: 32/36/40-hour contracts available, worked across 4 days or 40/45-hour contracts worked across 5 days (including weekends).
  • Annual Leave: 4 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 5 weeks after 2 years.
  • Training and Development: Full training provided for the first 3 months, with continued support throughout your career with Aldi.
