We are seeking an experienced Internal Sales Executive to join our client's team in Belfast. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for assisting the project team in preparing quotes and sourcing products, managing incoming sales inquiries, and overseeing online sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quote Preparation: Assist the project team in preparing quotes and sourcing products to meet customer requirements.
  • Sales Inquiries: Manage incoming sales inquiries, addressing them directly or forwarding them to the appropriate team members.
  • Online Sales: Oversee online sales opportunities, including product sourcing, quote generation, and post-sales support.
  • Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and technical details.
  • Client Communication: Communicate with clients to address inquiries and fine-tune quotations.
  • Quotation Documents: Prepare quotation documents using internal systems.
  • Data Management: Ensure accurate data is maintained in the CRM and other sales platforms.
  • Quote Follow-up: Follow up on all quotes to encourage prompt order placement.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Experience in lighting sales or quoting is essential.
  • Technical Aptitude: Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn basic lighting systems, including LED and dimming technologies.
  • Communication Skills: Proficient written English for effective communication via emails and live text chat in sales and support interactions.
  • Mathematical Skills: Solid understanding of commercial mathematics, including discounts, markups, and VAT calculations.
  • IT Skills: Competent general IT/computer skills, with familiarity in using multiple systems such as email, CRM, order processing, live chat, spreadsheets, and website management.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, capable of managing 10 to 40 sales opportunities at a time, each involving multiple aspects and stakeholders.
  • Pressure Management: Able to work well under pressure.
  • Language Skills: Strong spoken English and professional phone etiquette.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Education: GCSE Math and English at Grade C or above.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Comparable Experience: Experience in a comparable role.
  • Electrical Industry Experience: Internal sales experience within the electrical industry, whether at an electrical contractor, wholesaler, or lighting supplier.
  • Lighting Sales Experience: Background in selling lighting products.
  • Interior Design Passion: Passion for interior design.
