Reed is currently seeking a Weighbridge Assistant to join their team onsite in Harlow. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate weighing of trucks in and out of the plant, as well as maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safeguarding Revenue and Stocks: Ensure all trucks are weighed appropriately and report any exceptions to the supervisor immediately.
  • Weighbridge Operations: Position trucks correctly on the weighbridge for incoming and outgoing vehicles.
  • Loading and Delivery Verification: Verify loading and delivery documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Loading Documents: Issue loading documents as required.
  • Reporting and Confidentiality: Prepare reports and maintain confidentiality of all documents and information.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Ensure proper housekeeping around the weighbridge, including the gaps between the weighing platform and the foundation.
Requirements:
  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Excel and MS Office.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Teamwork and Time Management: Ability to work as part of a team and manage time effectively.
  • Initiative and Drive: Take initiative and work with minimal supervision.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure.
  • Transport Experience: Previous experience in transport is ideal.
