About the Opportunity

We are excited to offer an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a Primary School in Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic chance to work with a child in their Year 4 class who has mild learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.

Job Description

The student requires close 1:1 support to help manage their behaviour within class and to keep them engaged in lessons. The school has great transport links and the staff are dedicated to creating a great learning environment for the children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support to the student to help manage their behaviour and engage them in lessons
  • Assist the class teacher with classroom preparation and organisation
  • Work with the teaching assistant team to provide additional support to students with special educational needs

Requirements

  • Previous experience supporting children in a nursery or school setting
  • Experience supporting children with special educational needs is desirable
  • Confident working 1:1 and in small groups of children
  • Able to assist the class teacher with classroom preparation and organisation

Salary and Benefits
