**Role Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Ranger to join our team at Orford Ness, a unique and internationally important conservation site on the Suffolk Coast. As a Ranger, you will play a key role in delivering conservation work, managing the site, and engaging with visitors.
About the Role
As a Ranger, you will be responsible for:
- Delivering conservation work, including habitat management, ecological monitoring, and visitor experience.
- Managing the site, including equipment maintenance, visitor management, and site presentation.
- Engaging with visitors, including guided walks, events, and community outreach.
- Working with colleagues, volunteers, and contractors to achieve conservation goals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Practical experience in conservation work, including habitat management and ecological monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work safely, using risk assessments and following guidelines.
- Experience in managing land, access, and conservation, and working outdoors.
- Ability to use machinery and equipment, with relevant certificates.
- A full UK driving licence.
