Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

About the Role:

As a Software Engineering Manager at Motorola Solutions, you will have the opportunity to work with talented engineers to build high-performing teams. A successful candidate will have strong coaching and motivational skills to enable highly technical teams to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and building high-performing teams of software developers from graduate to senior level.
  • Coaching, mentoring, and encouraging career development.
  • Working with the teams to promote engineering best practices.
  • Driving a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Working closely with the product team to champion the balance between short and long-term objectives.
  • Collaborating with the wider organization to achieve our strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in leading people and software engineering teams.
  • Track record of your teams delivering on time.
  • Natural ability to inspire and motivate.
  • Drive for continual learning.
  • Exposure to Scrum/LeSS or other Agile frameworks.
  • Knowledge of modern software development lifecycles.
  • Mastery in any programming language (C#, C++, TypeScript, ...).
  • Lead by example, exceed expectations, and go above and beyond.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
