Job Title: Educational Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Healthcare Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As an Educational Healthcare Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational, health, and wellbeing needs of children with special educational needs (SEN) in a local school in Hillingdon.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement behaviour modification interventions to address issues raised by pastoral staff and/or subject teachers, with a focus on students with emotional or mental health needs.
  • Support the holistic progress of individuals and small groups by facilitating emotional and behavioural support using a variety of intervention strategies.
  • Deliver programmes of specific intervention, such as mental and emotional health, self-esteem, anger-management, and self-awareness, to groups and individuals.
  • Work with students to improve punctuality, levels of attendance, and/or to ease a return to school following prolonged absence.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching, and senior staff to implement agreed interventions and programmes of work.
  • Work with individuals and groups of students having received prior information, such as current behavioural issues, academic levels, and reason for referral, from the appropriate Head of Year.
  • Create a calm, working atmosphere with the minimum of disturbance and confrontation while applying the whole school expectations assertively and fairly.
Requirements:
  • Child workforce only DBS on the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Previous experience working with SEN
