The Opportunity:

This role is a chance to lead a team of professionals responsible for landlord Building Safety services. As Compliance Manager, you will oversee a team of Compliance Coordinators and work closely with the Head of Building Safety to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.

About the Role:

You will be responsible for managing the delivery of all landlord health and safety functions, ensuring legal duties and performance indicators are met. This includes developing policies that commit to service delivery and managing a high-performing team through effective training, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and develop a team of Compliance Coordinators, focusing on their growth and performance.
  2. Work closely with the Head of Building Safety to deliver service improvements and optimize procurement opportunities.
  3. Develop and implement a quality assurance framework for all current and future processes within the Building Safety team.
  4. Engage with customers, providing advice, support, and guidance on all aspects of landlord Building Safety.

Requirements:

  1. Evidence of technical training and qualifications in landlord Building Safety disciplines such as electrical safety, gas safety, lifts, asbestos, water management, renewable energy, and sustainability technologies.
  2. Demonstrate understanding of relevant legislation, including the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, and its impact on landlord Building Safety.
  3. Showcase excellent data analytical skills, with the ability to understand and interpret statistical and financial information.
  4. Have a detailed understanding and at least three years of managing landlord Building Safety in social housing.
