Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Customs Clearance Specialist to join our team at Red Recruit. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth clearance of international shipments, working closely with our clients and partners to provide exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process customs declarations for imports and exports, ensuring accurate and timely completion of all clearance processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to prepare and manage customs entries, including obtaining necessary documentation and processing payments.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on customs procedures, tariff classifications, and duty rates.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations, laws, and customs procedures, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Conduct thorough checks and processing of all relevant documentation for shipments, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Work closely with the customs clearing/multimodal team to ensure effective administration support and timely completion of tasks.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in customs clearance, with a strong understanding of CDS and Cargowise software systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of customs procedures, tariff classifications, and duty rates, with the ability to provide expert advice and guidance.
