The Opportunity

The Real Assets Investment Group at Cambridge Associates LLC provides clients with comprehensive investment management services across the full spectrum of public and private real assets investments, including real estate, infrastructure, and natural resources. Our team of senior professionals with significant financial industry and real assets market experience evaluates real assets markets, identifies investment opportunities, and manages client portfolios. We advise clients on making debt and equity investments into real assets via public and private investment vehicles, co-investments, and separate accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Lead investment due diligence on investment opportunities, analyzing a manager's organization, investment strategy, performance, terms, current portfolio positions, and other key attributes.
  • Co-lead in-person meetings, conduct reference calls with industry participants, and develop the house opinion on investment opportunities in partnership with the team's Asset Class Heads.
  • Complete written assessments and recommendations utilized by clients and colleagues to support investment decisions.
  • Source new investment opportunities by leveraging existing industry relationships, building new relationships, and identifying other creative sourcing channels in collaboration with the broader team.
  • Monitor market trends and contribute to CA's thought leadership in this area.
  • Actively monitor and evaluate managers on an ongoing basis.
  • Present at internal meetings, investment research committee discussions, and marketing presentations.
  • Serve as a resource to colleagues seeking current information on real assets investment opportunities.
Qualifications
  • A BA/BS required.
  • Demonstrable investment experience.
  • Strong collaborator and work-ethic.
  • Demonstrated qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated relationship-building skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and strong business writing skills.
  • Ability and willingness to engage in conversation with managers and references.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to drive the project management process, providing clear direction and managing deadlines, workflow, and quality control for projects.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Demonstrated interest in real assets investing.
