Job Title: Chemistry PhD Graduate - Business Intelligence Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chemistry PhD graduate to join our Business Intelligence team at Newton Colmore. As a Patent Analyst, you will play a crucial role in developing and analyzing comprehensive patent landscapes, monitoring and analyzing competitor patent portfolios, and combining the outputs with other business analysis and intelligence.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop patent search strategies and analyze results, either carrying out the searches or in collaboration with third-party search companies.
  • Analyze competitor IP developments and communicate findings with internal stakeholders.
  • Support the team of Patent Engineers in the delivery of the IP Team objectives.
  • Maintain IP department software licenses and serve as the primary liaison between the IP team and external search providers.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of chemistry or biochemistry and its applications within science and technology.
  • Recent PhD graduate or equivalent experience.
