Software Development Placement

We are seeking an enthusiastic placement student to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Engine Business Segment. During your placement, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you need to become an expert in the industry.

This role involves leading small projects and initiatives from requirement gathering and definition through to implementation. You will use set business analysis and methodologies to drive results.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting industry deployment and work on support of hardware and systems.
  • Improving IT and related business processes through your involvement in cross-functional support collaborating with different teams and departments throughout the business.
  • Developing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft PowerApps and PowerBi along with other industry software packages.
  • Supporting and improving processes through process flow mapping, data collection and analysis, testing and problem-solving.
  • Involvement in production support as required.

Qualifications

  • Studying towards a degree within IT, Business, Project Management, Software or Programming.
  • A good understanding of computer systems and software as well as a basic understanding of the Business Analyst or Application Support role.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication skills.
