Our client, Viqu Limited, is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Specialist to support their operations by overseeing quality assurance and health and safety protocols across all areas of the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing and maintaining quality systems, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, and developing safety policies and procedures.
As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for taking part in audits, preparing reports, and working closely with both internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure safety and quality objectives are met.
Required Expertise:
- Strong background in Electrical and Mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years in a quality engineering role
- Experience in highly regulated industries such as nuclear, civil engineering, utilities, or welding
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, 14001) and health & safety regulations (OHSAS 45001)
- Skilled in audits, regulatory compliance, risk assessments, and safety procedure development
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong collaboration and communication skills
- Proficient in producing reports, metrics, and conducting incident investigations for senior management
- Willingness to travel for site visits and audits, with a full UK driving license and eligibility for SC clearance
- Familiarity with automation systems and functional safety standards i.e. ISO 27001 (desired)
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent safety qualification (desired)
- Degree-level education with relevant professional memberships
