About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Planning Shift Lead to join our team at Abcmarketingstrategystop. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our transportation operations, ensuring that all customer deliveries are made efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Operations Management: Oversee the daily operations of our transportation team, ensuring that all customer deliveries are made on time and in full.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of transportation professionals, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Customer Service: Work closely with our customer service team to ensure that all customer needs are met, and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Transportation Planning: Develop and implement transportation plans that optimize our fleet utilization, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all transportation operations are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements, and that our team members are trained and equipped to perform their duties safely.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and analyze transportation performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize our operations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with our warehouse operations team, transportation manager, and other stakeholders to ensure that all transportation operations are aligned with our business objectives.
Requirements
  • Transportation Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in transportation operations management, with a strong background in transportation planning and logistics.
  • Leadership and Management: Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including customers, team members, and external partners.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex transportation data and develop effective solutions.
  • Transportation Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations, laws, and best practices, with a strong understanding of transportation planning and logistics principles.
