Desktop Support Engineer Opportunity

We are partnering with a leading client to find an experienced Desktop Support Engineer for an initial 6-month contract. This role requires high-quality customer service and technical expertise in Microsoft Windows, desktop hardware, and SCCM.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows 10 environments, including build, configuration, and registry settings.
  • Administer desktop hardware architecture and troubleshoot issues.
  • Deploy and manage SCCM, including OS deployment, application deployment, fault finding, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Configure and support Microsoft Office suite, including templates, macros, add-ins, and advanced features.
  • Support Office 365, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
  • Perform basic Active Directory administration and Group Policy management.
  • Manage Appsense Environment Manager and App Manager, and troubleshoot policy issues.
  • Understand and support messaging and collaboration tools, including Microsoft Exchange and email client configuration.
  • Appreciate email security products, such as Retarus, and understand white and black listing.
  • Have a basic understanding of virtualization technology, including VMware.
  • Understand LAN, WAN, VLAN, and Wi-Fi technologies, DHCP, DNS/WINS, PXE, and VPN/remote connectivity.
  • Support office-based telephony services, VOIP, mobile device configuration, tethering, and mobile peripherals.
