Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Manchester team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you'll work on a range of industry-leading infrastructure projects, including transportation, utilities, and highways.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Administer contracts in line with project objectives and policies.
  • Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow.
  • Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives.
  • Manage contract changes effectively and ensure projects remain within governance.
  • Drive improvements in forecast accuracy and budgeting.
  • Provide commercial knowledge and support to stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and agree final accounts.
  • Lead people and commissions as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Contract Management experience (NEC3, Option C preferred).
  • Cost Management expertise.
  • Change management and control skills.
  • Valuation knowledge.
  • Risk Management experience.
  • Procurement skills.
  • Estimating and Pricing expertise.
  • Reporting skills.
  • A collaborative approach and best-for-project attitude.
  • Sharing best practice.
  • People management skills.
  • Commission management experience.
  • Identifying and driving efficiencies and improvements.
  • Good knowledge of construction industry technical matters.
  • Degree qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Professional body membership or equivalent.
