Youth Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Support Worker to join our team in Barnstaple and Bideford. As a key member of our youth work team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality support services to young people, promoting their social, emotional, and educational development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead youth work sessions in various settings, including youth centres and community spaces.
- Support the development of colleagues and volunteers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Co-design and deliver social action projects in partnership with local stakeholders and community groups.
- Work collaboratively with partners and stakeholders to promote the well-being and interests of young people.
- Plan, evaluate, and evidence the impact of youth work initiatives, ensuring they are effective and meet the needs of our service users.
- Help young people develop skills, build confidence, and take ownership of their lives.
- Experience in youth work, with a strong understanding of the needs and challenges faced by young people.
- Leadership and confidence in working with young people, colleagues, and community partners.
- Passion for promoting the rights and well-being of young people, with a commitment to social justice and equality.
- Creativity and solution-focused thinking, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with young people, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
