Dedicated Support Worker
In this role as a Compassionate Care Associate at HC-One, kindness takes precedence above all. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every individual who works here acknowledges that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell.
Our focus is on providing the highest quality service at all times, whether we're offering long or short-term, convalescence, respite, or palliative care. As a key member of our care team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional care to our residents.
About You
As a Compassionate Care Associate under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will take responsibility for the physical and emotional well-being and social needs of our residents. You'll assist residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and assisting with meals.
You will deliver a level of care that truly comes from the heart. This involves making sure our residents never lose their dignity or sense of individuality as you get involved in general activities within the care home. Whether you're helping someone with limited mobility to learn to use an aid, offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident, or delivering care to someone at the end of their life, your well-being will always be in mind.
Safeguarding
We expect all colleagues to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. If concerns arise, you'll know what to do and have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report them.
About Our Benefits
We offer an attractive hourly rate of £10.50, subject to experience and qualifications. Additionally, you'll receive:
- Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG
- Free uniform
- A nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more
- Company pension scheme
- 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays
- Group life assurance cover
- Wagestream – financial wellbeing and flexible access to pay as needed
- Award-winning learning and development opportunities to achieve qualifications
- Access to over 1600 high street discounts through colleague discounts
- An opportunity to learn from experienced colleagues as part of an outstanding and committed team
Join Our Commitment to Quality Care
We prioritize inclusive working practices and invite applicants from diverse backgrounds into our HC-One family. We're passionate about ensuring that our current and future colleagues can be their authentic selves, and that our workforce represents the communities we serve.
