Job Title: LSA/TA/SEND Support/Youth Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) or Teaching Assistant (TA) to support students with severe and complex needs in a specialist school in Southend.

About the Role:

  • Work 5 days a week within the school or college provision, supporting students with severe and complex needs in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to help improve engagement, interaction, and raise attainment.
  • Develop your LSA skills and work closely with parents to ensure what is carried out at school is continued at home.
  • Provide a friendly and positive approach to teaching and learning, as well as the ability to quickly build up strong relationships and rapport with individual children.

Requirements:

  • No school experience required - Graduates, support workers, healthcare assistants, youth workers, or personal experience accepted.
  • Able to work closely with parents and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

We offer FREE online safeguarding and Prevent Duty training to all our workers. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and subscribe to the DBS Update Service.
