About the Role

The successful candidate will be involved in the development of CNC programs for advanced 4 & 5 axis machines and multi-axis turn-mills using various software packages. They will also develop precision CNC grinding programs for specialized grinding machines.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the timely release of new products into production, ensuring budget-conscious delivery.
  • Estimate production timelines and costs accurately.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure seamless transitions from design to production, including rapid prototypes.
  • Work with the supply chain to identify potential cost reduction opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in machining complex components within the automotive or aerospace sectors.
  • Hold a relevant engineering qualification (Degree or minimum HNC).
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM systems (preferably NX12 or equivalent).
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of machining and inspection techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to root cause analysis.
