Job Description

Edmund Optics is seeking a highly skilled Product Line Manager - Strategic Optics to join our team in York, UK. As a key member of our Strategic Optics team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a product strategy that aligns with our company's technological vision and core competencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Product Visionary: Develop and execute a product strategy that drives customer acquisition and retention efforts, and ensures the profitable growth of our standard and custom product business.
  • Market Analysis: Gather market and application information from customers to inform product development and expansion.
  • Product Development: Develop and expand existing standard product families, and select new products and custom capabilities.
  • End-of-Life Strategy: Define an end-of-life strategy for underperforming products.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, marketing, R&D, sales, applications engineering, and design engineering to develop objectives, presentations, and financial proposals for new product initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
  • Experience: Two (2) years experience in application engineering, manufacturing engineering, product line engineering, and/or managing products in the optics field.
  • Skills: Strong optics product, manufacturing, and technology knowledge, high level of personal initiative, strong analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, strong presentation skills, willingness to work with many groups, across departments, and show strong team spirit.
