Product Line Manager

Edmund Optics is a leading manufacturer and supplier of optics, imaging, and photonics technology. We are seeking a highly skilled Product Line Manager to join our team in York, UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and developing the overall vision and strategy for select products, including identifying new domains and applications for products and defining target metrics. They will also develop new standard product, product lines, and custom capability offerings for their specific product areas.
The Product Line Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including global sales, business development, marketing, R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams, to establish necessary plans and technologies for product/capability development and go-to-market strategy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optics, product management, and leadership, with excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. They will be able to motivate and train people, manage heavy workloads, and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Define and develop overall vision and strategy for select products.
- Develop new standard product, product lines, and custom capability offerings.
- Work with cross-functional teams to establish necessary plans and technologies.
- Manage heavy workloads and prioritize multiple concurrent projects.
- Lead and motivate teams to achieve business objectives.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
- Two (2) years experience in application engineering, manufacturing engineering, product line engineering, and/or managing products in the optics field.
- Strong optics product, manufacturing, and technology knowledge.
- High level of personal initiative.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Willingness to work with many groups, across departments, and show strong team spirit.
- Strong leadership skills, with ability to motivate and train people.
