We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Dornan. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for providing expert cost management and quantity surveying services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Cost Management: Develop and implement cost management strategies to ensure projects are delivered within budget and on time.
- Quantity Surveying: Conduct site measurements, prepare detailed bills of quantities, and track costs and labour throughout the project.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Valuation and Certification: Prepare and submit timely and accurate valuation and certification documents to clients.
- Cash Flow Management: Prepare and submit accurate cash flow submissions to clients.
- Subcontract Management: Prepare subcontract packages, agree contracts, and manage through to final account.
- Professional Development: Strive to gain a comprehensive understanding of tasks assigned, why they are important, and how they fit into the overall project.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively seek out opportunities to work on tasks that will aid development and request regular feedback from senior team members.
- Experience: 5+ years' experience working in a similar role.
- Qualifications: Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
- Skills: Strong cost management and quantity surveying skills, excellent communication and project coordination skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
