Job Title: Head of SEN Education

Omnia Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Head of SEN Education to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the educational and wellbeing needs of our students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective educational strategies to support students with SEN
  • Collaborate with teachers, hub staff, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Conduct annual reviews and progress conferences to monitor student progress and set targets
  • Develop and maintain systems for keeping pupil records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information
  • Stay up-to-date with national and local policies, including the Code of Practice for SEN, and cascade information to colleagues
  • Support the Head of Foundation in making applications for additional support, time, and/or specific papers for relevant examinations
  • Work with teachers, hub, and pastoral staff to ensure all students' learning is of equal importance and that there are high and realistic expectations of all students
Requirements:
  • QTS/QTLS qualification
  • SENCO qualification or willingness to work towards it
  • Previous experience in a SEN setting or family liaison/emotional support role
  • Current, clean UK driving licence
