Clinical Nurse Educator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Education Department at Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in developing, delivering, and evaluating education and training on palliative care using a flexible, evidence-based approach across the hospice and wider healthcare system.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and deliver high-quality education and training on palliative care to staff, students, and external partners.
- Act as an educational and information resource for other professionals, promoting an open and supportive learning culture.
- Participate in the design, delivery, and evaluation of teaching sessions, including face-to-face and virtual delivery.
- Assist in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of education, working closely with the Head of Education and Practice Development.
- Support clinical staff to develop their own knowledge and skills, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Enhance staff knowledge in palliative care, leading to improved patient outcomes.
- Contribute to increased quality of life for patients and the wider community by delivering evidence-based information about palliative and end-of-life care.
- Work with the Head of Education and Practice Development to identify training needs and support the delivery of palliative care and clinical skill training and competencies.
- Deliver identified education and competency-based assessment for ARHC services and across the health system.
- Participate in the quality and clinical audit programme, identifying areas for improvement and promoting evidence-based practice.
- Exercise leadership in education to support the clinical team to attain and develop high standards of patient care.
- Be an effective role model, providing a supportive and safe environment for learning and professional development.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and updating of policies and procedures, maintaining staff awareness and promoting a culture of continuous learning.
Person Specification:
- Registered General Nurse.
- Degree-level qualification in Palliative Care or equivalent level of experience.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- Teaching qualification or relevant experience.
- Up-to-date knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care.
Essential Experience:
- Relevant post-registration experience.
- Experience of designing, delivering, and evaluating teaching.
- Experience of multi-professional working.
Other Essential:
- UK Driving License and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
