We are pleased to be partnering with a leading pensions and mutual funds company to find an experienced Application Support Analyst to join their team in Glasgow.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with the chance to attend the Glasgow office two days per week.
About the Job
- Provide first-line assistance by acknowledging and analyzing support requests made to the IT Development Team on a daily basis.
- Escalate more complex requests to 2nd Line Support while providing relevant triage information.
- Write SQL scripts to assist in basic analysis of problems reported.
- Execute SSIS packages as part of routine support tasks.
- Proficiency in SQL with a good understanding of SQL Server Management Studio, SQL Agent, and SSIS error handling.
- Familiarity with Life/Pensions products is desirable.
- Awareness or experience with Sonata Financial Systems software is also desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- First-line technical support for various applications and systems.
- Triage and escalate complex issues to second-line support teams.
- Develop and execute SQL scripts for troubleshooting purposes.
- Manage SSIS packages as part of regular maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Strong technical skills in SQL, including proficiency in SQL Server Management Studio and SSIS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Desirable: familiarity with Life/Pensions products and Sonata Financial Systems software.
