About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Android development lead to join our team at AJ Bell. As a key member of our mobile development team, you will be responsible for leading and engaging a strong Android development team to push our mobile platform forward to the next level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and engage a strong Android development team to drive innovation and excellence in mobile development.
  • Support the improvement of our modularised frameworks between internal Android development projects.
  • Understand and improve our CI/CD pipelines from development through to release.
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code and beautiful products.
  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code.
  • Ensure and strive for the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organisation, and automation.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and developers working on different layers of infrastructure.
  • Ensure that all duties are carried out with the aim of protecting customers and improving customer experience.
