About the Role
The Strategic Procurement Specialist will collaborate with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of high-quality materials and components, while also driving supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- To issue and monitor Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to suppliers.
- To set up supplier data within the company's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
- To utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) data to raise necessary Purchase Orders (POs).
- To review and select suppliers based on proposals/quotations received.
- To develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
- To manage purchasing projects and ensure compliance with company policies.
- To manage supplier Long Term Agreements and negotiate contracts.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a buyer within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex data.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Certified in Procurement and Supply (CIPS) qualification.
- Knowledge of strategic purchasing and supply chain management principles.
