We are partnering with a leading Passenger Transport organisation to find a skilled Procurement Manager. This role is part of their developing and transitioning Procurement function.

Job Description

The successful candidate will manage the procurement and delivery of supply chain contracts, ensuring alignment with strategic sourcing and procurement policies.

  • Negotiate with suppliers, conducting contract reviews as necessary.
  • Select and procure goods and services on optimal terms to meet business objectives.
  • Define obligations for compliance with statutory and company policies, and franchise agreements.
Responsibilities:
  1. Establish procurement requirements for new/re-tendered/renewed contracts.
  2. Manage services procurement, challenging suppliers for opportunities.
  3. Develop procurement documentation, including Expressions of Interest and Contracts.
  4. Ensure specifications are received from functional managers, challenging where necessary.
  5. Serve as primary procurement contact for the business.
Background & Experience:
  • At least five years' experience in procurement.
  • Expertise in competitive tenders and contract negotiation.
  • CIPS qualification or studying towards Professional Procurement certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated public sector procurement background.
What We Offer

A hybrid working arrangement with flexibility to be based in York, Leeds, or Manchester office locations.

$58,750 - $70,000 per annum, plus benefits including free travel and an excellent pension scheme.
