About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Functional Specialist to join our team, providing unbiased and comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance. As a Functional Specialist, you will work with a leading, multi-national employer, offering a hybrid working opportunity with full-time and part-time roles available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver face-to-face and virtual assessments, telephone assessments, initial review calls, and paper-based reports.
  • Manage caseloads from end to end, including delivering assessments and managing cases to conclusion.
  • Assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting claimants, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual, and cognitive impairments.
  • Have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence, and team meetings.
Requirements
  • Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Paramedic.
  • 1+ years post-qualification experience.
  • Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.
What We Offer
  • Basic salary of £38,500 - £41,500.
  • 5% retention bonus, rising to 10% quality and retention bonus.
  • OTE: £45,650.
  • Hybrid full-time and part-time working hours available.
  • Training options: 12 weeks (full-time), 14 weeks (4 days per week), and 17 weeks (3 days per week).
  • 25 days' holidays per annum, rising to 27 days with service.
