Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team as a Community Health Specialist. The successful candidate will work with patients to promote, restore, and prolong physical independence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assess and diagnose patients with various conditions, developing personalized treatment plans to enhance their functional capacity.
  2. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide holistic care, ensuring patients receive comprehensive support.
  3. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in physiotherapy, applying evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  5. Document patient progress, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
Requirements
  1. Entry-level degree in Physical Therapy.
  2. Registration as a physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  3. At least one year of community, hospital, or private practice experience, with a strong ability to conduct assessments and implement care plans.
  4. Bilingualism is considered an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Three or more years of experience in community, hospital, or private practice settings.
  2. Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  3. Compliance with practice standards from the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
  4. Ability to critically appraise primary literature and use best practice healthcare literature databases.
