NRS Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Instructor to join our team in York. As a Technical Instructor, you will play a crucial role in delivering an outstanding clinical service to wheelchair users across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with wheelchair therapists to deliver customized wheelchair solutions and clinical interventions that meet the unique needs of each service user.
- Collaborate with the technical team to repair and modify wheelchairs, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
- Provide education and training to patients and carers on the safe use and maintenance of wheelchairs, promoting patient participation in their care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including typed reports of assessments and handovers.
- Contribute to the development of the service by identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance the patient experience.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a clinical or technical role, preferably in a wheelchair or mobility services setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and healthcare professionals.
- Methodical and organized approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
