Job Title: Research Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Technician to join our team at the University of Exeter. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and scientists to facilitate and contribute to the provision of high-quality monogenic diabetes research projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine molecular techniques including DNA and RNA isolation from blood and tissue, DNA sequencing, and quantitative real-time PCR.
  • Ship and order samples and reagents, manage stock, and perform general laboratory administration.
  • Design and implement new assays under the direction and supervision of appropriate members of staff.
