Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Critical Care Practitioner to join our team in the Critical Care department at the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, working closely with medical colleagues and other healthcare professionals.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will have extensive critical care knowledge and a high level of clinical skill, with the ability to work autonomously or under consultant supervision. You will be responsible for reviewing patients on acute wards and in the Emergency Department, and will play a vital role in the development of a flexible and sustainable workforce for Critical Care in the Emergency Care Hospital.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a trained Advanced Critical Care Practitioner to join our team and contribute to the development of our Critical Care service. You will have the opportunity to work in a busy and progressive Critical Care Unit with a clear patient-centred focus, and will be supported in your professional development through ownership, research/evidence-based practices, commitment and multidisciplinary involvement.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a strong desire to develop themselves to deliver outstanding care within the four pillars of advanced clinical practice. You will be required to hold Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine membership and have extensive critical care knowledge and a high level of clinical skill.
