Job Title: Academic English Teacher

QT Education Ltd is seeking a qualified and experienced English teacher to join our team at a mixed gender secondary school with academy status located in the West area of Bristol.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate English teacher who can deliver high-quality curriculum provision within the English department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the curriculum is tailored to meet the department's priorities and that all resources, including lessons, printing, and texts, are available in good time before the next term.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. They will be able to work under pressure and demonstrate determination to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality curriculum provision within the English department
  • Ensure that the curriculum is tailored to meet the department's priorities
  • Coordinate, monitor, and quality check all adaptations of existing units of work
  • Work with the Director of Faculty to manage homework within the department
  • Ensure that there are extra-curricular opportunities available for students within the English department
Requirements:
  • Qualified and experienced English teacher
  • QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable)
