Key Responsibilities:

* Support the engineering team by carrying out systematic tasks and continuous improvements to plant and machinery
* Perform reactive maintenance and repair, working to undertake repairs as efficiently as possible in order to minimize downtime
* Perform inspection and servicing of the manufacturing equipment as required
* Use initiative to identify areas that will improve the production performance, line utilization and focus on reducing scrap levels
* Provide maintenance support regarding projects
* Perform housekeeping duties in the engineering environment during any slack time
* Carry out testing on fire alarm systems on a weekly basis

Requirements:

* Experience of working as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, with a solid understanding of electrical and at least basic mechanical disciplines
* Experience within a Manufacturing Environment is essential
* You must have a qualification in engineering, equivalent with NVQ/ City and Guilds Level 3 or HNC/HND/ONC in either Electrical or Mechanical disciplines
* Understanding and ability to read engineering circuit schematics/ drawings is absolutely essential
* Knowledge of welding and fabrication
* Ability to offer flexibility, with the changing shift patterns in the New Year
