Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Hastings Court. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food services to our residents, working closely with our Head Chef and kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Service Delivery
- Ensure an excellent service is provided at all times, meeting the nutritional needs of each individual.
- Prepare nutritional snacks for residents as required and directed by the Registered Manager.
- Ensure prepared food is of an excellent quality and palatability as well as presentation.
- Menu Planning and Stock Control
- Work closely with the Head Chef to plan and implement menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
- Manage stock levels, ordering and replenishing as necessary.
- Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless food service delivery.
- Support the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen, ensuring a fast-paced and efficient environment.
Requirements
- Experience
- Ideal 2 years of catering experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality food services.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
- Awareness of regulations and guidelines related to food service delivery.
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets and textured diets is advantageous.
