About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and understanding Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Support Assistant for Students with SEMH Needs, you will provide personalized assistance to students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, helping them engage with their learning and develop coping strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEMH needs, helping them manage anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges.
  • Use a trauma-informed approach to create a safe and supportive learning environment, understanding the emotional needs of each student.
  • Assist students in building resilience and emotional regulation through supportive interventions tailored to their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, mental health professionals, and families to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to each student's well-being and development.
