Join Our Team as a Maths Lecturer in Prison Education

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Maths Lecturer to join our team in prison education. As a Maths Lecturer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to adult learners in a prison setting.

About the Role

This is a full-time position, working 37 hours per week (open to part-time). You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality Maths curriculum, as led by the College management team, and carrying out all tasks associated with teaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality Maths education to adult learners in a prison setting
  • Develop and implement engaging Maths lessons, taking into account the needs and abilities of learners
  • Assess and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective education program
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Five GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent), including English Language and Mathematics
  • A Degree, or professional qualification, which is appropriate to the work
  • Teaching Qualification
  • Knowledge and experience of current teaching and learning strategies
  • Excellent team working, communication, and interpersonal skills
