Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Farm Manager to lead the development and management of our heritage farm at Gressenhall Farm and Workhouse. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement farm management plans to achieve business objectives
  • Oversee the daily operations of the farm, including livestock management, equipment maintenance, and crop production
  • Ensure the health and well-being of our livestock, including administering veterinary medicines and maintaining animal welfare standards
  • Collaborate with the wider heritage site team to deliver excellent customer service and ensure a positive visitor experience
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in farm management and heritage farming
Requirements
  • Relevant degree or industry-recognised qualification in a field such as agriculture, animal science, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in farm management, preferably in a heritage farm setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, visitors, and stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and duties
