Job Title: Senior Highway Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Highway Engineer to join our team at Jackson Civil Engineering. As a Senior Highway Engineer, you will be responsible for progressing the construction process and assisting in delivering projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Undertake day-to-day setting out duties with minimal supervision
  • Train, manage, and mentor junior engineers
  • Manage and monitor site sample and performance testing requirements, maintaining records in line with contract specifications
  • Complete hazard and risk assessments, and method statements
  • Assist the site QS/Project Manager in providing relevant information for records and claims purposes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors
  • Ensure all work complies with quality, safety, and environmental policies, and company procedures
Requirements:
  • Experience in heavy civils with a main contractor, including highways and structures schemes
  • CSCS card and a suitable qualification in civil engineering, minimum HND
  • ICE membership, SMSTS, and SSSTS
  • First Aid at work qualification and a Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Training in confined spaces
  • Full UK driving license and willingness to travel throughout the region
