Job Title: Support Teacher for Complex Needs

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as a Support Teacher for Complex Needs in a primary SEN school in Bexley.

This is a full-time, long-term role where you will provide 1:1 support to a child with complex needs, ensuring their educational and emotional development.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child with complex needs, ensuring their educational and emotional development.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with personal care needs, maintaining the child's dignity and promoting independence.
  • Use creativity and enthusiasm to engage the child in learning activities.
  • Support the child in developing social skills and managing behaviour.
  • Employ strategies to manage and support children with autism, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Proven experience working with children with autism or SEN children in a UK-based school setting.
  • The ability to provide personal care and support to children with complex needs.
  • An Enhanced child and adult DBS on the update service.
  • Energetic, creative, and able to engage children effectively.
