SEND Teaching Assistant Specialist Position

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum

In this challenging yet rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the educational team, providing vital support to students and helping them achieve their full potential.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement individualized education plans for students with SEND, tailoring your approach to meet each student's unique needs
  • Support students in their academic and personal growth, fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and teachers, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in SEND support
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children or individuals with SEND
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection procedures
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • First Aid certification
Working Environment:
  • Full-Time hours, Monday to Friday
