Job Description

The Quality Assurance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the production process meet the required standards of quality and safety. This includes auditing and monitoring of processes, implementing corrective actions when necessary, and providing training to staff.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Promote high standards of food safety culture and challenge site GMP standards including Technical, Food Safety, Quality, Compliance, and Business values.
  2. Support functional and cross-functional projects and continuous improvement activities.
  3. Create and review documents such as records, procedures, and communication boards for the Technical department and site.
  4. Audit bakery GMP standards and Technical compliance, including G&H, CCP, Process controls, Canteen, Mobile phone audits, paperwork completion, and more.
  5. Assist the Compliance Manager with complaint investigations, trending complaints data, and lead Right First Time meetings.
  6. Support the Compliance Manager and Technical department with ad-hoc tasks and projects.
  7. Manage mould free end-of-life shelf life testing and air quality systems, including result communication and seeking improvements.
  8. Train operators on critical control points, HQE/LCL assessments, and refresher training as needed.
Requirements:Essential:
  1. Previous experience in food manufacturing, preferably in a quality or technical role.
  2. Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office suite and Google platforms expertise.
  3. Team player with a proactive approach to reach customer and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Familiarity with food legislation and safety principles.
  5. Able to adapt to changing responsibilities.
  6. Demonstrate commitment to Hovis values: Quality, Accountability, and Trust.
Salary Range: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum
