Linton, United Kingdom Vision for Education - Cambridge Full time
Vision for Education - Cambridge

We are seeking a highly motivated and flexible Cover Supervisor to join our team at a secondary school in Cambridge. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading lessons of approximately 30 pupils in the absence of the class teacher. You will cover classes across the full range of secondary school subjects, but don't worry, you are not expected to be a subject specialist in each area. The lesson will always be planned, and this will be provided in advance. Your role as the Cover Supervisor will involve facilitating the classes' learning, managing classroom behaviour, recording accurate registers, and providing a handover to the absent teacher.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience of working within a secondary school prior to applying to Initial Teacher Training. Although previous experience of working in a secondary school is desirable, it is not essential. We offer a comprehensive Cover Supervisor Training Programme to equip you with the skills you need to succeed in this role. For more information on our training programme, please visit our website or send us your CV and one of our consultants will contact you with further details.

As a successful candidate, you will have:

- A degree or equivalent education

- A willingness to learn and adapt to new situations

- A natural leader and someone with the confidence to lead a lesson in the absence of the class teacher

- A passion for education and providing the highest possible level of support to young people

We offer a competitive salary of £600 per week, paid using the PAYE system, as well as a guaranteed pay scheme (subject to availability), social and networking events, pension contributions, CPD to help with your professional development, and access to a dedicated consultant. If you are interested in this role, please apply via this advert or call us for more information.
