Children and Young People Art Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Arts Therapist to join our team at Shooting Star Children's Hospices. As an Arts Therapist, you will work with children and families who have experienced life-limiting conditions, trauma, and loss. You will provide high-quality art, drama, or music therapy to support their emotional and psychological well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individual and group therapy programs for children and families
- Work holistically with a multi-disciplinary team to support children and families
- Develop and implement therapy plans to address the psychological challenges associated with life-limiting conditions, trauma, and loss
- Provide advice, education, and support to staff, families, schools, and other professionals
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience as an Arts Therapist in a health or social care environment
- Significant experience working with children and young people, including those with disabilities and those experiencing loss and grief, and chronic or acute trauma
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
