We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Account Manager to join our team at IQVIA. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing and developing business relationships with our key accounts, driving sales growth and maximizing product brand shares.
Key Responsibilities- Account Management: Manage and lead business through specific multiple and regional accounts, providing input to develop brand and category plans.
- Business Development: Ensure plans reflect account opportunities and account strategy reflects company objectives, maximizing product brand shares.
- Forecasting: Provide accurate and timely sales volume and value forecasts.
- Trading Policies: Maintain updated information and reports with account trading policies and business objectives, ensuring the most favorable trading terms on price, service, and profitability are negotiated.
- Promotional Activity: Ensure promotional activity and new product listings maximize potential business in all accounts, communicating all relevant information to the Business Controller.
- Budget Control: Control product promotional budgets and identify improvement opportunities, maintaining control of overheads and expenses within defined limits to ensure the most economic coverage of accounts.
- Account Development: Monitor and control account development, delivering budgeted sales and KPIs.
- Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitor activity and report on any such activity, making recommendations and implementing alternative business strategy in light of changing market conditions.
- Collaboration: Establish working relationships with marketing, client management, sales planning, and finance (for logistics).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in account management, preferably within OTC or grocery sales. Recent exposure to the principles of category management, preferably within the health and beauty industry. Experience of working with customers to build multi-level relationships, plus ability to create and deliver successful account plans.
- Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Attributes: Tenacious, persuasive, and client-focused with a proven track record of sales success.
