Senior Project Manager - Custom Fabrication

Our client, a leading company in the niche industry, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team in Derby. With 65 years of experience across various sectors, including Energy, Aerospace, Marine, Nuclear, Petro-chemical, and Utilities, they require a professional with technical expertise, commercial awareness, and strong leadership skills to ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle in a custom fabrication and manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure timely delivery within budget and in line with company objectives.
  • Work collaboratively with the project management team to achieve project success.
  • Travel to customer sites across the region, requiring a full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (compensated with a generous car allowance).
Requirements:
  • A project management qualification with at least 5 years hands-on experience within a closely related industry.
  • CDM knowledge (Construction, Design and Management) Regulations.
  • Extensive experience in client-facing roles, including gathering initial project briefs and confidently presenting and negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel overseas on occasion.
  • Fabrication/manufacturing project management experience.
  • Understanding of Primavera P3e, Microsoft Project, or Asta project planning software.
