About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Project Manager to join our team at Tetra Tech. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects of national importance, working closely with our clients, stakeholders, and colleagues from other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks, and develop strategies to overcome obstacles.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, including NEC 3/4 contracts.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, empowering them to deliver successful outcomes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of managing projects and programmes for local/central government bodies or other significant public sector clients.
  • Chartered project professional (APM) or equivalent, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior client representatives and project teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients to deliver results, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Project, Excel, and Word.
